SLEEMO

SLEEMO
Norwich power trio Sleemo are "a wild animal, barely domesticated by the studio, clawing at the speakers; a feral cat at the wheel of a street racer" (Fresh On The Net). Making their debut in mid-2019, Sleemo have very quickly garnered a large fanbase for their sonically loud live shows, heavy-set riffs, ripping leads and left-field songwriting, going from strength to strength playing in small clubs locally to touring larger venues nationally with upcoming heavy hitters Enola Gay, Torus and Perfectparachutepicture, going as far as to support one of their musical idols, Jamie Lenman of Reuben.
Since releasing their EP "Degradation" to widespread acclaim and earning two short list nominations for "Best Alternative Act" at the New Music Generator Awards 2021 and 2022, Sleemo have garnered a fierce reputation as one of the most raucous and upcoming UK live acts, touring relentlessly and blowing PA systems nationwide.
"The band have easily cut across heavy-set riffs, warped, tearing, ripping leads and spasmodic time changes(...) Sleemo are not a three-piece to sleep on" (Ear Nutrition)
“Throw Billy Utting's wide eyed vocals plus feral big drums, huge bass lines and it all equates to heavenly heavy stuff, that feels original but also pays homage to sort of iconic punk D.N.A.” (American Pancake)
“If you've not seen or heard Sleemo then you're missing out, because they're bloody good” (Outline Magazine) “Riotously electric sound” (A&R Factory)
